Role: Assistant Store Manager
Job type: 12 month FTC
Salary: £28,980
Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames
Hours: Full time, shift pattern, Monday - Sunday

We are excited to be recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager to join our client based in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Our client is a well-known, nationwide self-storage company with 59 stores across the UK. In this role you will work with the store manager and sales team to maximise sales and profit targets, ensuring customers always receive a high level of service. This Assistant Store Manager position is a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Whilst not guaranteed, there is the potential for this to develop until a permanent position for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager:
· Contribute to the achievement of the financial targets agreed for the Store.
· Identify and suggest opportunities available for increasing occupancy and revenue within the store on a regular basis.
· Respond effectively to the diverse needs of each customer.
· Manage, monitor, and adapt the working practices of the store staff to ensure that the store is operating to its optimum efficiency.
· Identify any store repair & maintenance issues, report and following up.
· Ensure compliance within or of company operational and financial procedures.
· Take responsibility for the running of the store on occasions when the store manager is absent, including providing financial figures and reporting information.
· Complete all administrative tasks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
· Ensure Health and Safety procedures are understood and adhered to.
