· 37.5 hours Monday -Friday

· 7.5-hour days (Core working hours are 10am -4pm)

· Flexitime within this providing core hours are met.

· Hybrid working 2 days from home

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join our client in Fareham. Our client is a fast growing, award winning structural engineering and transport planning consultancy.

As Civil Engineer, you will support the management of an expanding civil engineering team and oversee fast-paced complex schemes across a diverse range of clients. This is a great opportunity to further your own knowledge of engineering theory and practice and contribute to the design and development of engineering solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities for Civil Engineer:

· Work with a busy design team, with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities, undertaking design work in accordance with the appropriate building standards and codes.

· Support the writing of fee proposals

· Have responsibility for being project manager on designated projects and review the team’s work where required

· Be responsible for producing consistent high-quality drawing packages

· Provide developmental support to junior team members

· Manage resources to support the completion of appropriate project work tasks

· Provide input into marketing and business development material appropriate to the role


About You: / Experience required:

· HND, BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering

· Working towards ICE professional accreditation

· 4+ years’ experience in a similar role/civil engineering consultancy

· Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on a range of civil engineering schemes

· Autocad and Site 3D or equivalent. Quality Managment system (QMS) for admin tasks.

· Ability to plan and manage the work and resources needed to enable effective implementation of engineering tasks and projects.

· Demonstrate a sound knowledge of legislation, hazards and safe systems of work.

· Communicate well with others at all levels including effective use of English, orally and in writing

· Problem solver and team player.
