Hours: Mon-Fri -37.5 hours per week 9:00am - 5:30pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Test Technician on behalf of our client. The Electronics Test Technician position will be a stand-alone role, working alongside the wider production testing and projects team.

You will also support the development team to aid testing in new product development. Our client is looking for someone to hit the ground running; previous hands-on experience with electronics, surface mount soldering, and PCPs is advantageous. The interview stage will include a surface-mount soldering practical assessment.

Duties and Responsibilities as Electronics Test Technician:

· Supporting production testing of electronics prior to being sent out

· Fault testing anything that has come back and repairing, if possible, to send back out

· Creating test rigs

· Testing new products

· Testing and fault finding at a component level

· Providing support to the development team

About You & Experience required:

· Good fundamental knowledge of Digital & Analogue electronics

· Previous experience in a manufacturing industry

· Experience with fault finding at a component level (6m x 3m components)

· A good understanding of circuit diagrams and schematics

· Familiarity with standard electronics equipment: soldering irons, cables, connectors, multimeters, oscilloscope, voltmeter, function generator etc

· Ability to solder SMT 0603 and THT

· An interest in software development

· Experience programming in C/C++

· Experience with the Linux command line

· Experience with BASH scripting

· An enthusiasm for electronics
