Salary: £56,700 DOE

Location: Southampton

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunch break. Hybrid working available

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an established and reputable law firm in Southampton as a Family Solicitor. In this role you will deal with aspects of family law, including high net worth matrimonial finance and complex private law children matters. As Family Solicitor, you must have 3 to 5 years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience).

Duties and Responsibilities of Family Solicitor:

· Build your own varied caseload and support the Partner with their caseload

· Take responsibility for managing own time and work, including prioritising and being proactive where appropriate

· Keep up to date with changes in the law.

· Actively engage with marketing and business development activity and assist the Partner in their business development activities.

· Comply with procedures set out in the office manual, professionals standards and with any requirement set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

About You:

· The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years specialised post qualification experience in family law that will include divorce and separation, cohabitation, pre and post nuptial agreements, and children (private law).

· SQE or other legal qualification

· Strong communication skills

· Recognise the importance of meeting time and financial targets

· Work and behave in a professional manner and to the highest standards of the profession

· Able to communicate complex law, scenarios and solutions in simple and clear way verbally and in writing.
