37.5 hours Monday -Friday
7.5-hour days (Core working hours are 10am -4pm)
Flexitime within this providing core hours are met.

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a Highway Engineering Team lead to join our client in Fareham. Our client is a fast growing, award winning structural engineering and transport planning consultancy. As Highway Engineering Team Lead, you will support the management of a growing highways engineering team and oversee the delivery of fast-paced, complex schemes for a diverse client base.
Duties and Responsibilities for Senior Civil Engineer:
Lead a highways engineering team delivering S278, S38 and S184 schemes, as well as providing pre-planning advice
Manage day-to-day team resources to ensure efficient project delivery
Monitor and achieve monthly invoicing targets
Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets effectively
Identify and secure additional fees for out-of-scope work
Undertake and oversee highways design work
Provide engineering input to support the transport planning team
Contribute to board reports and regular team updates
Drive continuous improvement in processes and team efficiency
Ensure high-quality drawing outputs and technical standards
Line manage, mentor and support the development of team members
Contribute to business development activities and attend client meetings
About You: / Experience required:
Proven experience in business development
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
Membership of Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Chartered Institution of Highways and
Transportation (CIHT), or a similar professional body
Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status preferred
Significant experience in a similar consultancy environment
Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing projects
Strong commercial awareness with excellent client-facing skills
