Role: Housing Options Officer
Job Type: Contract, 9 months
Salary: £16.37 per hour
Location: Fareham
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 08.45 - 17.15
Our client is looking for an experienced Housing Options Officer to join their team in Fareham and assist with the delivery of a high-quality service.
Duties for the Housing Options Administrator:
· Speak with Customers in person and manage email and telephone enquiries to provide assistance on housing options available.
· Liaise with external businesses to arrange accommodation.
· Attend meetings where housing is identified as an issue for the customer to include Child Protection, Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements & Multi Agency Risk Assessments Conferences.
· Provide advice to customers on local housing options.
· Develop appropriate management information to guide and inform decisions related to the implementation of strategies and work closely with agencies to achieve this.
About You:
· Ability to deal with customers who have exhibited difficult behaviours, for example mental health problems, drug or alcohol addictions in a sensitive matter.
· Organised and customer oriented.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Sympathetic, welcoming, and able to work with sensitive/confidential information.
· A willingness and enthusiasm to assist and support the wider team.
· Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
