Role: HR Advisor
Job Type: FTC until 30th September 2026 - ASAP START
Salary: £16.65 per hour
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday – Friday – 32 hours per week, with a day off in the week, no set day. Hybrid arrangement, typically one or two days per week. Standard core hours are 9am to 5pm.
We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on behalf of our client based in Southampton City Centre. Our client is a modern travel and leisure company with a long and reputable history in the Southampton area. As HR Advisor you will join a friendly and busy HR team to provide high quality and proactive HR advice relating to all aspects of the business. This role focuses on ER casework, and you will report directly to the HR Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities of an HR Advisor:
· Managing a wide range of Employee Relations casework, including conduct issues, capability concerns, grievances, probationary reviews, and performance management.
· Providing clear, practical advice and guidance on absence management, covering both long- and short-term sickness, as well as flexible working arrangements and sabbaticals.
· Taking an active role in developing and promoting the business’s Wellbeing offering, ensuring it remains a visible and impactful part of organisations people agenda.
· Supporting the wider People strategy by helping to create, develop, and maintain HR policies and practices that reflect best practice and meet business needs.
About You:
· CIPD qualified to Level 5 minimum or relevant similar qualification.
· A minimum of 3 years HR generalist experience, supporting Line Managers with a range of people issues.
· Previous experience within a marine or service sector is desirable but not essential.
· A good eye for detail.
· A confident telephone manner.
· The ability to organise and manage own workload.
· Professional, team player with a friendly personality
· Ability to use MS Word and Ms Excel extensively.
