Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week (fully office based, no hybrid)

We are excited to be recruiting for a Junior Rust Firmware Engineer to join our client based in Fareham, Hampshire. Our client is an electronic and aerospace company specialising in cutting edge UAV development. They are seeking a passionate Junior Rust Firmware Engineer to join their dynamic Software Department. The successful Junior Rust Firmware Engineer will play a crucial role in programming and coding across multiple products.

Duties and Responsibilities of Junior Rust Firmware Engineer:

·        Design and develop software systems and tools in Rust, guiding projects from start to finish.

·        Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate components into larger systems.

·        Produce effective and efficient code that meets project specifications.

·        Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

About You: / Experience required:

·        Must be a UK passport holder and be willing to travel outside of the UK

·        Educated to degree level in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics Design

·        Previous experience with embedded coding, or if you have published code on GitHub or an Opensource Project this would be advantageous.

·        An interest in RC vehicles/drones/UAVs, coding, electronics and/or automotives.

·        Previous experience with programmes such as: ArduPilot, C++, CAD, and Rust

·        Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and eager to contribute to innovative aerospace projects.
