Duties and Responsibilities of Packaging Engineer:

· Give analytical support to the sustainability team to collect packaging data, provide performance visibility and sustainability tracking.

· Gather data on current and historical packaging performance, investigate abnormalities and define project success criteria, identifying opportunities for improvement wherever possible.

· Identify the needs of brands and consumers regarding product experience, and turn this into clear packaging designs that meet the brief requirements (innovation, sustainability, affordability and efficiency).

· Deliver technical designs that focus on sustainability and end-of-life recycling, keeping the market and customers at the forefront.

About You: / Experience required:

· Structural packaging experience, preferably within the retail or packaging sectors, along with a strong understanding of packaging production processes and materials.

· Must demonstrate a good insight of how packaging contributes to customer experience and purchase decision making.

· Computer literate, strong excel

· CAD experience (ArtiosCAD/CAPE) and strong packaging prototyping skills are desirable, along with industry knowledge of primary and transit packaging materials, innovations, and trends.

· Ambitious and driven, problem solver, multitasker.
