Role: Project Document Controller
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, to be discussed at registration stage.
Location: Totton
Hours: 9am - 5:30pm - 37.5hrs per week - Over time available and will be required to work this to meet project deadlines. 1-2hrs overtime 4 x a week. Paid on an hourly rate - at same rate as salary. No Hybrid.

We are seeking a proactive Project Document Controller on behalf of our client to join their busy CAD Team during a period of growth. This Project Document Controller role is central to ensuring that projects run smoothly and that project documentation and communications are managed efficiently. As Project Document Controller you will work closely with engineering staff, project leads, and stakeholders across all levels of the business, including direct communication with senior leadership.
Our client is a leader in their industry who specialise in the design, build and manufacture of specialist electrical equipment for commercial clients from the renewables and fossils fuel sectors around the world.
Duties and Responsibilities of Project Document Controller:
Working to strict project deadlines, translating drawings of panels and wiring into documents for clients.
Liaising with international clients, creating project documents (operations/ maintenance manuals, alarm system documents etc) based on the client’s required format.
Sending documents over to the client (via a portal) and then receiving revised documents back from the client and making any necessary amendments and re-loading amended docs to the client portal.
About You & Experience required:
Previous Document Controller experience
Previous experience of understanding drawings of panels & wiring from construction or engineering industries
Previous experience translating these drawings into documents for clients
Experience using Microsoft Project
Detail orientated
Able to communicate at all levels, with various stakeholders - MD, clients, engineers, etc.
Excellent team player
Adaptable
