Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week (fully office based, no hybrid)

We are excited to be recruiting for a Rust Firmware Engineer to join our client based in Fareham, Hampshire. Our client is an electronic and aerospace company specialising in cutting edge UAV development. They are seeking an experienced Rust Firmware Engineer to join their dynamic Software Department. The successful Rust Firmware Engineer will play a crucial role in programming and coding across multiple products.

Duties and Responsibilities of Rust Firmware Engineer:

·        Design and develop software systems and tools in Rust, guiding projects from start to finish.

·        Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate components into larger systems.

·        Produce effective and efficient code that meets project specifications.

·        Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

About You: / Experience required:

·        Must be a UK passport holder and be willing to travel outside of the UK

·        Educated to degree level in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics Design

·        Previous experience with embedded coding, or if you have published code on GitHub or an Opensource Project would be advantageous.

·        An interest in RC vehicles/drones/UAVs, coding, electronics and/or automotives.

·        Previous experience with programmes such as: ArduPilot, C++, CAD, and Rust

·        Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and eager to contribute to innovative aerospace projects.
