Role: Store Manager

Job type: Full Time – Permanent

Salary: £34,662 – plus performance bonus

Location: Derby

Hours: Full time, shift pattern, Monday – Sunday

We are excited to be recruiting for a Store Manager to join our client based in Derby. Our client is a well-known, nationwide self-storage company with 59 stores across the UK. In this role you will work to maximise sales and profit targets, ensuring customers always receive a high level of service.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Store Manager:

  • Contribute to the achievement of the financial targets agreed for the Store.

  • Responsible for the running of the store, including providing financial figures and reporting information.

  • Identify and suggest opportunities available for increasing occupancy and revenue within the Store on a regular basis.

  • Respond effectively to the diverse needs of each customer.

  • Manage, monitor, and adapt the working practices of the Store staff to ensure that the Store is operating to its optimum efficiency.

  • Identify any store repair & maintenance issues, report and following up.

  • Ensure compliance within or of company operational and financial procedures.

  • Complete all administrative tasks to ensure compliance with company procedures.

  • Ensure Health and Safety procedures are understood and adhered to.

  • Opportunity to attend networking events to increase sales of offices.

  • Creating and amending rotas to ensure fairness across all staff.

  • To support and help other stores when required.

  • Carry out Personal Development Plans and annual appraisals to the team annually.

About You:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-discipline and accountability; able to work within guidelines and procedures whilst being attentive to detail.

  • Comfortable working in a small team environment.

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate staff through leading by example.

  • Strong work ethic and commitment.

  • Ability to make decisions on own initiative.

  • Experience with managing a team.
