Hours: Mon-Fri -37.5 hours per week 9:00am - 5:30pm with 1 hour lunch break, onsite only

We have an amazing opportunity for a Trainee CAD Designer to join our client in Totton undergoing an exciting period of growth. The Trainee CAD Designer will support the CAD team whilst learning to produce schematic drawings in accordance with company standards. This role would suit candidates at the early stage of their career who are interested in developing skills in an electrical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities as Trainee CAD Designer:

• Learn to produce schematic drawings following company standards

• Support the creation and updating of technical drawings

• Assist with electrical panel and schematic diagram development

• Build understanding of wiring diagrams and general arrangement (GA) drawings

• Help with drawing revisions and maintain accurate change logs

• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clearly labelled, and correctly version‑controlled

• Develop knowledge of industry standards, components, and safety requirements

• Take part in ongoing training and continuous learning activities

About You & Experience required:

• T – Level (Level 3) Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Engineering

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical principles

• Experience using CAD software

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
